Director | Audio Designer | Composer
Ever since childhood, Laurens had a fascination for any audiovisual arts, with audio in particular. From the age of twelve, he has been experimenting with story and sound editing.
In 2008 Laurens won a Belgian competition from Kunstbende in the DJ category and started to study Graphic Design at Sint-Lukas in Brussels. From 2009 to 2011, Laurens studied Animation Pictures at the KASK in Ghent. In the years thereafter he worked for several companies and projects with a constant passion for sound, while also continuing to produce music, edit podcasts as well as creating sound design and soundtracks for games.
His interest in the narrative combination of images and sound continued to grow until he started at the Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema & Sound in 2016. Laurens directed a couple of short films, guided the sound production for several projects and focused on narration through writing.
